These Terms govern your use of FamilyRapport. By subscribing to our service or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
FamilyRapport provides an emotional companionship and family connection service designed to support both aging adults (“Participants”) and the adult family members (“Members”) who care about them.
Through regular written letters from trained Heritage Curators, Participants experience meaningful emotional engagement, intellectual stimulation, and a consistent human presence in their lives. Members receive comprehensive monthly Insight Reports — thoughtful summaries of their parent’s mood, emotional state, social engagement, behavioral patterns, and overall wellbeing — that bridge the distance between generations and help families stay deeply connected, even from afar.
The service is purchased by adult family members on behalf of their aging parent or relative as a form of emotional support, family connection, and ongoing wellbeing observation.
Important: FamilyRapport is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, or licensed healthcare service. We do not diagnose, treat, or monitor medical conditions. Our Insight Reports contain personal observations based on written correspondence and do not constitute medical, psychological, or professional advice of any kind. If you have concerns about your parent’s health or safety, contact their doctor or emergency services immediately.
You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to subscribe. By subscribing, you represent that you have a genuine familial or authorized caretaking relationship with the Participant and that you are acting in good faith and in the Participant’s best interest.
Letter frequency, report detail, and additional features vary by subscription plan. Full plan details are available on our website.
In their first letter, the Heritage Curator will inform the Participant that the correspondence is part of a companionship program arranged by a family member. The Curator will also explain that general observations from their letters may be shared with the subscribing family member in summary form. Continued correspondence by the Participant constitutes acceptance of these terms.
If the Participant explicitly requests that their correspondence not be shared, or asks to stop receiving letters, we will honor that request and notify you promptly. No refund is issued for the current billing period in this situation, but your subscription will not renew.
If you are concerned about any aspect of your parent’s health, safety, or wellbeing, please contact their physician or local emergency services immediately. FamilyRapport is a companionship service, not a safety net.
If a Curator becomes aware of information suggesting that a Participant may be in immediate danger, experiencing abuse or neglect, or expressing thoughts of self-harm, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email as soon as practicable. In situations where we believe there is an imminent threat to life or safety, we may also contact local emergency services.
We may also be subject to mandatory reporting obligations under the laws of certain U.S. states. See our Privacy Policy for details.
